I met Shane Dawson

Yes, you read right. I met Shane Dawson! It was so amazing. I never thought I would seriously ever meet him, but today I did. I'm so thankful that Sadie wanted to go shopping at the mall today and that Amber showed up before we were ready to leave and needed to go into Hot Topic.

I'm really tired, so instead of typing out the whole story, here it is as I explained it to my friend Alicia.

So. We're standing in Hot Topic. My friend Amber is talking to me. I notice this tall guy walk past me, and I think "I know that hair." So Turn around and see him. I lean in to Amber and tell her "That's Shane!" So I walk to the other side of the store and find Sadie. I tell her that "I'm freaking out, Shane dawson is here." So I point him out on the far side of the store. He's taking pictures with some stupid girls and this cute little girl. So we walk back over to Amber and talk with her about the stuff they are buying. Well Sadie gets out of line and goes to get something else. She lost her spot so we had to go to the end of the line, behind Shane. So she's looking at me and askes "What are you going to do? Going to ask for a picture?" Me: "Well, yeah, duh. It's HIM, and Alicia would KILL me!" So I took a few breathes and made myself all cute, leaning in a bit. "Shane," He turns around to me. "Could I have a picture please?" Him: "OF couse!" (Very gay like) So we take the picture and then after it's done he says "Oh, Myspace angels." and laughs a little. I was shaking so bad! So I started talking to him. "My friend Alicia likes you a lot. She has a few videos about you." Him: "Oh really, what's her name?" Me: "Alicia Fina" Him: "Okay... Alicia Fina." Me: "Yeah, I've been into YouTube since like, 2006 but I only just started making videos a few months ago." Him: "Oh, cool, what's your name?" Me: "Eric." Him: "What's your YouTube name?" Me: "Oh, Animefreakout29.'' His mom and him both laugh and she gave me a HUGE smile. Him: "Animefreakout29." Me: "I've seen you around here in your videos all the time and I'm like 'this is my mall.''' Him: "Oh really? Hahaha." I get another smile. Me: "Well thank you." I turn around and start talking to Sadie and Amber as Sadie moves up to the check out counter. As he walks past me, leaving, he taps me on my right shoulder and waves bye to me when I turn around. Me: "Thank you, bye!" and I wave back. We get out of the store and I was freaking OUT!

Prank calls

Just thought I would share my thoughts on prank calls since it's been the main topic of the day.

I was messed with a lot years back. A friends ex would call and prank call me often and kept doing it for like 2 hours straight one night. The bastard said I was calling him and pranking him a few hours prior, which isn't possible cause I never had his phone number! Then, a few years back a friend of mine's brother who didn't like me thought it would be fun to call me and leave me a death threat on my phone. So, when it comes to prank calls, I don't mess around or play games. I know where it can go. I don't do well with that stuff. I get to freaked out. I think of the worst possible thing happening.

I have the stupidest ideas

I always come up with the most random, weirdest most fun stuff. Okay, maybe not always the most fun, but it looks awesome in my head. Well, anyways, it's summer now. I've been waiting for this time since last August. No, I don't care for the super hot weather but I love the freedom for everyone. Schools out for most, or for those who go to school, the suns out later and everything is open later. Bottom line to what I'm trying to convey, I want to go out and do stuff! I live in Southern California, I have my license and no matter what my friends think, not everything costs money. There is plenty to do that's free, we just gotta use our imagination.

I'm the type of person that loves nights and loves taking random adventures. I know I'm not working right now and gas isn't cheap, but really, that's only a minor detail. L.A. is amazing and has so many hidden treasures. I wish we could just get in my truck and drive. We use to do that all the time, years ago when my other friends drove us around. I understand as we get older our responsibilities change, I know. I had a pretty much full time job for three years. I'm just in my in-the-middle stage right now. Not everyone can go out every night with me, and I appreciate that my friends came over like 4 times this week to visit me while I was laid up with a sprained foot. I suppose what I'm trying to say is that, to me, the weather at night is so nice. Very cool, I just want to be outside and chill, relax. I don't want to party or be crazy. Hmpt. I've got a lot of friends, and some of them don't work or do anything either and even they don't want to do anything. What is a boy to do? I guess my ideas of adventures just don't appeal to everyone.

Summer just started but is moving quickly. I have a lot of things planed already, so I want to take the free time I have to spend with my friends. Soon, before we know it, it's going to be cold again and everyone is going to want to bundle up and stay in and complain about the weather. SO! Let's take advantage of what we have right now and make the most of it! Hit me up, I'll pick you up and we'll see where we end up. Just trust me.

Let's review a movie: Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs

My first thoughts on this movie were rather skeptical. I really had no desire to watch it, but Mom wanted to. So I turned on the Wii and popped in the Netflix disc. I found the movie and started the presentation.

The movie had me in the first 5 minutes. There are a lot of off the wall jokes and comments. It's really sweet but not too mushy. The main character, Flint, is a huge nerd with a passion to invent useful things to help people. He's got good ideas but they never really work out for him. The whole idea that there is some small island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean that is known only for sardines is rather odd, but it works. One day, Flint invents his machine that turns water into food, and with a series of events, he loses control of the machine and it flies up into the atmosphere. Through the course of the movie you see how Flint goes from being the nerdy, hated misfit to the loved savior of the island. Again, through a course of events, everything backfires and Flint must now save the day. In the end, he learns that his father loves him, he should just be himself and of course, he gets the girl.

Don't get me wrong, the movie is wonderful, and I don't wanna give away to much, but Mom and I did laugh a few times. I'm not a monkey fan, but the character Steve is rather hilarious. If you have the chance, rent this movie and enjoy a nice hour and half of laughs, puns and good 'ol family fun.

Welcome to the internet, my name is Lawls...

I've been contemplating joining this blogging community for some time now. I'm not new to blogging, I had a Xanga many years ago and spent most of my time there, I just wasn't sure if anyone would really read anything I had to say. I don't want this to turn into an angry rant blog nor do I want it to turn into a boring blog of my life.

I've just started up getting into YouTube. I'm no high ranked internet celebrity, yet, but I think I have untaped potential. Someone recently told me that I do good vlogs and that I should blog my thoughts. So, here I am, back in the blogging community. I've got a lot to say, and a lot to bitch about. I'm sure I'll rant on here and I'm sure I'll complain too.

So, let's get to know each other. My name is Eric, but I go by Lawls, Captain Lawls or Animefreakout29 on the internet. I've had my YouTube account since 2006 but only started getting into it a few months ago. My favorite YouTubers are Shane Dawson, Olgakay and iJustine. My life for the past 10 years or so has really revolved around Kingdom Hearts. It's a video game that has just amazed me and left an imprint on my life. I'm gay and been out of the closet for 5 years. My friends and family are very supportive of my life. I've never had a boyfriend and find most gays rather annoying. I'm overweight and have struggled with it my whole life. I live in Southern California, in the heart of all the media business. Miley Cyrus and Shane Dawson live somewhere within 10 minutes from me. I love to party and chill with my friends as often as possible. I don't currently work or go to school, so the internet is my life.
